Change a WEBP into a JPG
Drop the .webp pictures you saved from the web onto the page, or select several of them at once.
Choose a quality preset, a fill colour for see-through parts and a target size, then drag the divider to compare.
Press Convert and save the JPEG pictures one by one or grab them together in a single ZIP archive.
What makes this toolbox useful for WebP to JPEG jobs
Know the size before you save
Each preset button displays the file size your picture will have as a JPEG, measured by actually encoding it. With several pictures selected, a running estimate covers the whole set.
Clean results for cut-out graphics
Product shots and stickers with a see-through background get a solid fill of your choice, from white or black to a brand colour, with soft edges instead of a dark halo.
Built for big folders
A whole folder of pictures goes through in one run with the same settings. Shrink oversized ones to a longest side such as 1920 or 1280 pixels, or to half their size, in the same pass.
Smart about odd files
Pictures that are secretly JPEGs with the wrong extension are just renamed with zero quality loss, lossless graphics get a hint to use PNG instead, and unreadable files are skipped and named in the summary.
Why people switch WebP to JPEG
Many sites now serve pictures as WebP to load faster. That is great for browsing, but the moment you download one, you may find that an upload form rejects it, an older editor shows an error or a print shop asks for something else. JPEG is the safe, universal option. Best-Converter handles the switch inside a browser tab, with no installation and no account.
Who uses it, and for what
- Students drop diagrams and photos saved from articles into a presentation or a word processor that will not accept WebP.
- Office staff send product pictures to colleagues whose email client or document system only previews JPEG.
- Freelancers deliver web graphics to a client who needs them for a brochure or a printed flyer.
- HR teams upload a staff photo to an intranet or badge system that expects .jpg.
- Real estate agents reuse listing photos downloaded from a portal in a property sheet or a social post.
- Teachers print illustrations found online for worksheets and classroom displays.
Getting the size right
A JPEG is usually heavier than the WebP it came from, since WebP packs data more tightly. If a portal has an upload cap, try the Web preset (75%) first and watch the measured size update. Still too big? Pick a longest side of 1280 or 800 pixels, which cuts the weight far more than lowering quality further. Pictures are only ever made smaller, never stretched.
A note on privacy
Camera model, capture date and GPS position are stripped by default, which is handy before sharing a photo publicly. When you need that information, for example to keep an archive sorted by date, flip the metadata switch and it travels into the JPEG with the picture set upright. The colours are written in standard sRGB, so they look the same in every viewer.

Questions people ask about this task
Why does Windows or my old editor refuse to open .webp files?
Some older programs and photo viewers were made before WebP became common, so they cannot read it. Changing the picture to JPEG gives you a file that practically every program, phone and printer understands.
How can I save a WebP image from a website as a JPEG?
Save the picture to your device as usual, then drop the .webp file here and press Convert. You get a .jpg copy you can attach, print or edit.
Can I change many WebP files to JPEG at the same time?
Yes. Select as many as you need; the same quality, fill colour and size settings apply to all of them, and the finished pictures can be downloaded together as a ZIP.
Will my photos look worse after switching to JPEG?
At the default High setting (90%) the difference is very hard to spot. Zoom the preview to 100% and slide the divider over a detailed area if you want to be sure before saving.
What do I get from a moving WebP sticker?
A single JPEG of its opening frame, because JPEG pictures are still. Recent Chrome and Edge can also export each frame as its own JPEG inside a ZIP.
Does the tool send my pictures anywhere?
No. Your browser does the whole job on your own computer or phone, so private photos and client work never travel to a server.
