Quick guide

Combine PDF files in three steps

01

Drop your PDFs (and any scans or photos) onto the page. Start with one and add the rest later.

02

Line the documents up, or open the page grid to pull out, turn or copy individual sheets.

03

Press Merge PDF, give the result a name and save it, or turn it into Word, Excel, slides or images.

What you get

Everything you need to build one clean document

Page-level control

Need page 3 of the contract right after the cover letter? Open the page grid and drop any single sheet between the pages of a different document.

Scans and phone photos welcome

Throw in a JPG of a signed form or an iPhone HEIC snapshot next to your PDFs. Each picture lands on its own page, at its natural size or on A4 or Letter.

Quick tidy-up tools

Turn sideways scans, copy a page, add an empty separator sheet, put files in name order or flip the whole sequence. Made a mistake? Undo it.

Stays on your computer

The job runs in the browser tab, so nothing travels to a server. No login, no stamp on your pages and no cap on how many documents you add.

Combine PDFs into one: who uses it and how

One attachment beats seven. Most upload portals, email clients and printers handle a single document far better than a pile of loose files, and that is exactly the job this tool does. A few real situations:

  • Students stitch a cover sheet, the essay and a bibliography exported from another app into the single file a course portal asks for.
  • HR teams collect an offer letter, a signed contract and a phone photo of an ID into one onboarding record.
  • Freelancers send a client one PDF that holds the invoice, the timesheet and the receipts behind each expense.
  • Real estate agents bundle floor plans, a property brochure and inspection pages into one pack for buyers.
  • Teachers assemble worksheets from different sources into a handout that prints in the right order.

A workflow that saves time

Name your files with leading numbers before you start (1-cover, 2-report, 3-annex) and use the Name A to Z sort: the tool reads numbers the way a person does, so file 10 follows file 9 instead of file 1. Then open the page grid for the details: throw out a blank scan, straighten a landscape table, or repeat a form that needs two copies. The magnifier opens a large preview of any page so you can read it before saving.

Before you hit save

If the pack will be printed on both sides, drop an empty separator sheet between documents so each one starts on a fresh page. Photos look neater when you pick A4 or Letter and a small margin instead of their natural size. When several files are joined the result is called merged.pdf; rename it to something your recipient will recognise. Too heavy for an email? Pass it through Compress PDF. Need to sign or fill it in? Open it straight in the PDF editor, or keep a copy in My documents.

Answers

Questions people ask about this task

How do I combine several PDFs into one without installing software?

Open this page in any modern browser, drop your files in and press Merge PDF. Nothing needs to be installed and no account is required.

Will the person I send it to see a watermark?

No. The combined PDF contains only your own pages, with no logo or stamp added.

Can I put a scanned signature page in the middle of a PDF?

Yes. Add the scan or photo, open the page grid and drag that page to the exact spot, for example between pages 4 and 5 of the agreement.

Does it work on a phone?

It runs in mobile browsers too. For very large batches a laptop is more comfortable, because a phone has less memory to hold all the pages at once.

What happens to files the tool cannot use?

Empty files and anything that is not a PDF or an image are left out, and a message lists them. Locked PDFs trigger a warning, so you can remove the lock with Unlock PDF before combining.

Can I search the text in the combined PDF?

Yes, as long as the originals had real text. Pages are carried over untouched, although the bookmark list of each source file is dropped.
