Why this watermark eraser gets the job done
Several detection checks in one pass
It looks for text or pictures repeated in one position, tilted or see-through words, stamp and watermark notes, named layers and overlay streams added by stamping software.
You decide, item by item
Obvious watermarks come pre-ticked while running headers and other repeated content wait unticked, so a letterhead or approval stamp you need can stay.
Content stays editable
Nothing is flattened into a picture. Paragraphs remain copyable, search still finds words and links keep working in the cleaned copy.
No account, no cost, no new marks
Use it as often as you like without signing in, and the saved file carries no branding from us.
Delete PDF watermark stamps and labels without retyping the file
A watermark often outlives its purpose. The contract was signed, the trial ended or the draft became final, yet every page still carries the old label. Rebuilding the file from scratch takes hours; this tool lifts the watermark objects out of the existing PDF instead.
Who uses it, and for what
- Office teams clear a "DRAFT" banner from the approved version of a policy or report before it goes to the whole company.
- Freelancers strip a "SAMPLE" overlay from their own proposal once the client has paid for the final file.
- Teachers and students tidy handouts they wrote that picked up a "created with" footer from a conversion app.
- Real estate agents drop an outdated "PRELIMINARY" stamp from floor plans and brochures they produced.
- HR staff lift a "CONFIDENTIAL" layer from an internal template before reusing it for a public job posting.
Tips for a clean result
Step through several pages in the preview, not just the first. Entries tagged "Likely watermark" sit at the top of the list; anything less certain is tucked under "Other repeated content", so open that section when a mark you expected is missing. Each entry also says how many pages it covers and has a page button that jumps straight to where it first shows up. Work through one PDF at a time: if you drop in several, only the first one is processed.
If the tool warns that some pages look scanned, the watermark is part of the scanned picture itself and has to be covered rather than deleted.
The cleaned file is saved with "-no-watermark" added to its name, so your original stays as it was. Only process documents you created or have permission to change.

Questions people ask about this task
How do I get rid of a DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL stamp on a PDF?
Open the file here and the tool usually pre-selects that text, because rotated, faded or keyword text is a typical watermark sign. Confirm the selection and save the cleaned copy.
Why does the tool say no removable watermark was found?
The mark is probably painted into the page image, as in a scan, or written as ordinary page text. Neither can be lifted out, but you can open the file in the PDF editor and hide the area with the Whiteout tool.
Can I keep my company logo and remove only the watermark?
Yes. Each detected object has its own checkbox, so untick the logo or header you want and only the ticked items are cut.
Does deleting the watermark make the PDF blurry?
No. Pages are never redrawn as images, so fonts, vector graphics and photos keep their original quality.
Do I need to install software to delete a PDF watermark?
No. Everything happens inside a modern web browser on a computer, tablet or phone, and your file stays on that device.
What if my PDF asks for a password?
A locked PDF cannot be edited. Remove the password with the Unlock PDF tool if you know it, then run this tool on the unlocked copy.
