Change a PDF into PowerPoint slides
Pick the PDF you want to present. Drop in a few at once and each one gets its own deck.
Decide between Editable text boxes and Exact page pictures, then set the image quality and, under More options, the slide size.
Press the convert button and save the .pptx, ready for PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote.
What every PPTX deck from this toolbox gives you
Fix a typo without rebuilding the slide
Words arrive in PowerPoint as text boxes sitting where they were on the page, with their size, colour, weight, slant and angle. Photos, logos and drawings remain behind them as a single background image.
See slide 1 before anything is built
The options window draws the first slide and outlines each text box that will be created, along with the slide dimensions in inches. Change the size or box style and the preview follows instantly.
Only the pages you need
Want just the chart pages from a 40-page report? Type a range such as 2-4, 9 and only those become slides, while links between the chosen pages still jump to the matching slide.
Decks that look right on any PC
Sending the file to a colleague? One switch swaps unusual typefaces for Arial, Times New Roman or Courier New, so the slides display the same on their machine as on yours.
PDF to PPTX slides for everyday jobs
Plenty of useful material only exists as a PDF: last year's pitch, a supplier's brochure, a lecture handout. This toolbox rebuilds those pages as PPTX slides inside your browser, with no program to download and no copy of the file leaving your computer.
Who reaches for it
- Teachers who receive a worksheet as a PDF and want to project it, then fill in answers live during the lesson.
- Students reworking a group report into a talk, keeping the original figures while cutting the text down to bullet points.
- Office and sales teams refreshing an old proposal when the source deck has been lost and only the exported PDF survives.
- Freelancers and estate agents turning a portfolio or property brochure into a slideshow for a client call.
Editable or Exact: a quick rule of thumb
Choose Editable whenever you expect to change words: titles, prices, dates, names. Choose Exact for posters, certificates or heavily designed pages where every pixel must stay put; switch on speaker notes in that mode and the page text is still there to search and copy.
Tips for a cleaner deck
- Projecting on a widescreen display? Set the slide size to 16:9 and each page is centred on it.
- If paragraphs reflow oddly, try one text box per line for the closest match to the original layout.
- Emailing the result? Compact quality keeps the attachment small.
Limits worth knowing
Charts and tables do not become native PowerPoint objects; their text is editable but the lines and bars are part of the background. A scan with no real text stays a picture, so run it through OCR PDF beforehand. If a single page cannot be read, its slide says so and the rest of the deck is still built.

Questions people ask about this task
How can I turn a PDF into slides for a class or meeting?
Load the handout or report, leave the mode on Editable and convert. Each page lands on its own slide, so you can trim wording, add animations or drop in new slides around it.
Will the PPTX file open in Google Slides or Keynote?
Yes. The download is a standard .pptx, so it can be imported into Google Slides, Keynote or LibreOffice Impress as well as PowerPoint.
Why is there an image behind the text on each slide?
Editable mode removes the words from the page render and keeps the rest (photos, shapes, table lines) as a background, then lays real text on top. When a page is only a flat colour behind its text, no image is added at all.
Can I make slides from only part of a PDF?
With a single file, open the Pages menu, choose specific pages and type numbers or ranges like 1-3, 7. When you load several PDFs together, every page of each one is converted.
How large will the PowerPoint file be?
Each quality card shows an estimate measured on your first page: Compact renders at 96 dpi for the smallest file, Standard at 150 dpi for screens and High at 220 dpi for printing.
Do I have to install anything or sign up?
No. The work happens inside your web browser on your own device, the PDF never goes to a server, and the deck comes without a watermark.
