Take unwanted pages out of a PDF
Drop the PDF into the toolbox. Your browser reads it locally, with no server involved.
Tick the unwanted sheets on the grid or write something like 1, 4-8, even. Prefer the reverse? Switch to keeping only what you pick.
Press the Delete button, then save the slimmer file as a PDF or turn it into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG or PNG.
What this page remover handles for you
Ranges in plain words
Write "page 2 to page 5", "4 and 9", "10-" or "first". The box understands everyday wording and warns you about a page number your file does not have.
Keep mode for big files
Need four pages out of a 200-page report? Flip to keep mode, pick those four, and every other page is dropped in one go.
Empty sheet detection
A scan of the whole document measures how much ink sits on each page and flags near-empty ones, even sheets showing only a page number. Nothing goes until you confirm.
Original pages, lighter file
Pages that stay are not flattened into pictures, so links, form fields and searchable text survive. Fonts and images that belonged only to cut pages are cleared out.
Remove PDF pages for everyday jobs
Most PDFs carry a few sheets nobody needs: a cover, a terms page, a blank back side from the scanner. This toolbox lets you cut them out on any device with a browser, and the file stays with you the whole time.
Who reaches for it
- Students: strip the title page and reading list from lecture slides before printing a study pack.
- Teachers: take the answer key out of a worksheet before sharing it with a class.
- Office teams: clean the empty reverse sides out of a stack of duplex scans.
- Freelancers: send a client only the signed pages of a contract instead of the full draft.
- HR staff: drop internal notes from an application file before forwarding it.
- Real estate agents: share the floor plan and photo pages of a listing pack without the rest.
Walkthrough: tidying a 40-page scan
Open the file and press Find blank pages. The checker goes through each sheet and highlights the empty ones on the grid. Look over the highlighted thumbnails, untick any page that only has faint pencil marks, then add extra numbers in the box, for example 1, 39-40 for a cover and two trailing forms. The counter shows how many pages are left before you confirm. Your download is named after the original with -edited added at the end.
Good to know
- A file that asks for a password when opened needs Unlock PDF first.
- Want to drag pages around or rotate them as well? The page organizer button opens a full-screen board for that.
- Prefer to tweak text afterwards? Send the trimmed file straight to the PDF editor from the result window.

Questions people ask about this task
How do I remove pages from a PDF without installing software?
Open this page in a current browser on a computer, tablet or phone, add the file and pick the pages. The work runs inside the browser tab, so there is no program to download.
Is it safe to remove pages from a confidential PDF here?
Your file is processed by your own browser and never reaches our servers, which makes it a good fit for HR records, contracts or client paperwork.
Can I save the pages I cut out as a separate file?
Yes. Switch on the option to save removed pages separately and you get a ZIP with the trimmed PDF plus a second PDF holding the cut pages. This option is not offered for PDFs with security settings.
How do I get rid of every second page in a PDF?
Press the Even pages or Odd pages quick pick, or type even or odd in the box. Useful for duplex scans where every other sheet is a blank reverse side.
Why can't I remove every page from my PDF?
A PDF has to contain at least one page, so the button stays disabled when your choice covers the whole document. Single-page files cannot be trimmed for the same reason.
Can I remove pages from several PDFs in one go?
The page remover handles one PDF per run. If you drop several, only the first one opens; repeat for the others, or join them first with Merge PDF.
