Turn PowerPoint slides into a PDF
Drop your deck here, or select several at once. Nothing leaves this browser tab.
Flip through the preview, choose the page layout and type a slide range if you only need part of it.
Hit Convert to PDF and grab the result, keep it in My documents or tweak it in the PDF editor.
Built for sending, printing and presenting
Ready to email
Switch pictures to Smaller file and photo-heavy decks usually shrink to an attachment-friendly size, while text and shapes remain crisp vectors at any zoom.
Print-friendly layouts
Hand out 2, 4, 6 or 9 numbered thumbnails per sheet, or 3 with ruled lines for notes. Presenters can print their script under each slide instead.
Easy to navigate
Every slide title turns into a bookmark in the PDF sidebar, and buttons that jump to another slide or open a website still work after export.
Whole courses at once
Load a stack of lecture or training decks together and export a separate PDF for each, or stitch them into one file in the order shown.
Who uses a PPTX to PDF tool, and why
Slides travel badly. The person you send them to may not own PowerPoint, may open them on a phone, or may see a different font and a broken layout. Exporting to PDF freezes each slide as you built it, keeps the words searchable and lets anyone read it in a regular PDF viewer.
- Students: hand in a group project as a single PDF when the course portal accepts no other format.
- Teachers and trainers: print 3-per-page handouts with lines for writing, or share lecture slides with the class after the session.
- Freelancers and agencies: send a pitch or proposal that a client cannot edit by accident, with working links to your portfolio.
- HR teams: turn onboarding decks into a PDF handbook new hires can read on any device.
- Real estate agents: email a property presentation with lighter photos, so the attachment stays small enough for a buyer's inbox.
A quick checklist before you export
Decide who the PDF is for. An audience needs plain slides or handouts; a speaker rehearsing a talk wants notes pages, where long notes flow onto extra sheets. Hidden slides are skipped unless you switch them on or type their numbers, which is handy for backup slides you only show on request. Several files can be dropped in together and combined into one document.
Where the result may differ
Charts are rebuilt from the numbers stored in the deck, so they look cleaner and simpler than the original. Drop shadows, glow and 3D effects are left out. Waterfall or sunburst charts, EMF or WMF pictures and pen drawings cannot be reproduced; the tool tells you which items it skipped once the export finishes. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hebrew scripts are not handled yet, and a deck locked with a password has to be unlocked in PowerPoint before you convert it. If a chart is flagged as missing, opening and saving the deck once in PowerPoint usually fixes it.
Other things you can save as PDF
Questions people ask about this task
Do I need PowerPoint installed to save a PPTX as PDF?
No. The tool has its own slide renderer that runs in your web browser, so any laptop, Chromebook or phone with a modern browser can do it, with no account required.
Can I print handouts with several slides on a page?
Yes. Pick Handouts, then 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 per page on A4 or US Letter paper. The 3-up option leaves writing lines beside each thumbnail.
What happens to animations and embedded videos?
A PDF is a static document, so motion effects, transitions and sound are dropped. Every slide is exported with all of its objects in view, and a video appears as its still preview image.
My presentation is a .ppt file. Will it work?
Not directly. This tool understands the newer .pptx family (including .pptm, .ppsx and .potx), so re-save a 97-2003 .ppt as .pptx in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote or LibreOffice Impress first.
How do I make the PDF small enough to send?
Choose Smaller file under Pictures. Photos are scaled to roughly 150 dpi at the size they appear on the slide and stored as JPEG, which usually cuts the file down a lot.
Do my custom fonts carry over?
Your typefaces are swapped for close open-source equivalents with similar character widths, so the look stays near the original, though a line may wrap a little differently.
